This lens was produced by Tamron and is still made today. The short zoom may seem limiting, but keep in mind that each mm in this range means quite a bit. For example, the different between 17mm and 18mm is noticeable, where as 50 to 51 is not.
Nice image quality and inexpensive for its specs. Some complain of soft corners. Personally, I do not
